ENGRAVING:
We use a highly-specialized engraving system developed exclusively for the jewelry industry to create a clean, deep engraving that is easy to read and more durable than any other form of engraving (such as "marking" or scribing into the metal). We were the first company to employ this technology in the pet tag space having carried it over from our fine jewelry experience. Since then, others have followed suit, but like our titanium and tungsten tags, we were the first and believe that no company can match our combination of quality, durability, and price.
STERLING SILVER TAGS:
Our sterling silver pet tags are our in-house designs and available exclusively at The Sterling Pet. They are held to the same quality standards as our jewelry and are on par with the finest sterling silver jewelry produced by any of the great jewelry houses. The tags are made of solid .925 sterling silver and come with a sterling silver key ring that will attach to the D-ring of any collar. It should be noted that sterling silver does not make for a highly durable tag. Most of our customers purchase these as "dress-tags" or "going-out-on-the-town-tags". They also make GREAT show tags! In fact, it is so hard that only a few naturally occurring minerals can even scratch it; corundum (ruby/sapphire) and diamond.
